Meet Holleay ParckerHi, and thanks for visiting this section of my website. If you have read what my clients are saying about me, then you already know that I value my relationships.I've made many friends over the years through my career in real estate. Beyond the awards and designations, it's the long-term relationships I have with my clients that I consider my greatest accomplishment. Many real estate agents can count on one hand the number of clients who have completed multiple transactions with them. For me, the opposite is true: it's more unusual for a client to complete just one transaction. When people are asked what they like about their jobs, they usually can name several responsibilities, or functions, or maybe even perks, that they enjoy. Whenever people ask me what I most enjoy about my job, I always see faces. It's the people I meet along the way that bring me joy. This opportunity to assist others with their real estate transactions is a tremendous privilege, the importance of which is never lost on me. I count myself fortunate every day that comes.Real estate can be a demanding profession, and I've found that family, friends, and pursuing additional interests brings balance into my life.Family is vitally important to me. I'm blessed to have a wonderful relationship with my parents and my brother and his family. I have two nephews that I'm very proud of, who constantly remind me just how much fun it is to be fully present in the moment. They may be children, but they are teachers, too.My standard poodle Connor is a constant companion. I take him for "walks" every day in the car to the coffee shop. (Yes, this is my version of walking the dog.) He gets to stick his head out of the window; I get a tasty soy latte. It's an arrangement that has worked well for us both for years now.Writing is a relatively new passion. My first article submission was accepted and I've been published in a self-improvement book titled "100 Great Ways to Improve Your Life" compiled by David Riklan. It's an honor to be a co-author with the most recognized and respected names in self-improvement, including Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar, and Jim Rohn.Shortly after the book's release, I was invited to submit an article for compilation in a new 'Chicken Soup' book. (You may be familiar with this series of books by Jack Canfield.) This one will be titled 'Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneurial Soul'. Articles are being reviewed now for inclusion, and no date yet has been established for the book's release. I'll keep you posted as I receive notification of the results.Presently, I'm writing a book about how to succeed in real estate. The approach I'm taking is a little different than what I've seen in other books on this subject. You see, I believe that we each know what is right for us. As we pay attention to that inner guidance, we thrive. If we dismiss it, we quickly lose our way.I approach real estate with a healthy dose of common sense and an even healthier dose of following my gut. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't right, for me or for my clients.Recently, I counseled a young couple looking to buy their first vacation property to wait a year before buying. They had already qualified for the loan, and they were excited about buying. Really excited. But they were counting on everything going just right, and I know that in real estate, that's the exception, not the rule.I had several conversations with this young couple about what would happen if things didn't go just as they had planned. Within a few days, they saw how risky it would be for them to move forward at this time. When their excitement abated, they began to see the wisdom in delaying their purchase and building their cash reserves. When we talked last, the wife said, "Holleay, I've never met a real estate agent who tried so hard to talk her clients out of buying property!"I'm glad now that you kept talking to us about giving ourselves a little more time. It's definitely the right decision for us, and I'm so glad we had you as the voice of reason when we weren't thinking clearly."You know, that's the nicest compliment I've ever received. |

Outer Banks Real Estate - The Most Important Tip You Need to Know Before Buying Property on the Outer Banks The most important decision you must make before purchasing Outer Banks real estate is selecting the agent you will work with. Choosing the right agent will save you time and money; choosing the wrong one may cost you both. More than 70% of real estate buyers deal with the first agent they speak with. Don't make this costly mistake! Research has shown that many people spend more money on their second home or investment property than they do on their primary residence. This means that your Outer Banks real estate purchase may well be the most valuable financial decision of your lives. With so much at stake, it's important that you secure the best possible agent to represent your interests. Why would you settle for less than the very best? When selecting the right Outer Banks real estate agent for your needs, consider these tips:
Members have received extensive training in handling exceptional properties in the upper tier market. Whether or not you are considering a home in the million dollar range, shouldn't you choose an agent who has received the highest level of training? I am a proud member of the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing. Only 4 other agents in the entire Outer Banks real estate market (936 agents strong) can make this claim.
Unlike many other designations, this one is performance-based, which means that the agent has achieved a solid track record of sales in the upper 10% of their market. I have earned the coveted CLHMS designation, and only 2 other agents on the Outer Banks have received theirs.
Million Dollar Guild status is accepted by real estate consumers the world over as the industry's elite. Success in the million dollar and above arena has been demonstrated and certified. Simply put, it doesn't get better than this. My strong performance in the luxury home tier has earned me membership in the exclusive Million Dollar Guild club. Now that you realize that not all agents are alike, shouldn't you be calling the very best agent to assist you? Let's talk about your Outer Banks real estate needs today. You may reach me toll-free direct at 877.207.1617. I look forward to
